Website production technology
When designing websites we use HTML, DHTML, static and dynamic graphics, Macromedia Flash objects and sometimes ActiveX objects (when cross-platform compatibility is not necessary but certain system features wanted).
Design pages are often combined with dynamic content using Perl, PHP, JSP and other script languages. And the content data can be stored in XML or some database source (like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Interbase, DB2, Oracle).
When greater data integration is needed Web Services in applications and advanced server parsers can be introduced, allowing the company to fully integrate the data inside the company and easily expose suitable information to the outside world in the Internet.
During the design process we always attempt to create web content available to most of people, so cross-paltform and cross-browser compatibility of web pages is very important. The target platforms are at least Microsoft Windows and Linux with Internet Explorer and Netscape (4.x, 6.x and 7.x version).
